A FOF Project

The other day it occurred to me that people don't know anything about the Fremont and that we may be able to help. What say you about getting together an annotated bibliography of the Fremont? We could do an alphabetic and a topical version, as well an abridged one with the critical references.

The problem would be making it so all of us could edit it, and then where to host it. I was thinking we could maybe create a new blog and make the references the post, and then we could all work on the annotations in the comments section. I was also wondering if OPA might host the finished bib. Any thoughts?

I think that'd be extremely helpful adn useful and would personally be willing to put some time into it

A fine idea. It would have to be a work in progress that we could work on when we had spare time, but many of us have read most of the Fremont literature so we should be able to give some kind of a quick synopsis.

Good idea. We could divide it up into sections, so that specialties could shine through.

For example, Chris could do the ceramics.

Also, I think a section on applicable readings would be useful. Ethnographies, farmer/forager models, theoretical view points, economic models, etc.

This would provide researchers with access to a number of articles/books that could be analogous to Fremont life ways. New theories, models, or prespectives could be developed by including a section like this.

This is an awesome idea, Chris! Let's do it. Put me down for the farmer/forager modeling since it's been my life all this year...ish. There's tons out there that I know we (individually) are missing but that we (collectively) know all about!

Can we put a link from FOF to the new blog so it's easy reference?

I don't think that a new blog is the answer.

Behold, I give you Google Docs and Spreadsheets
