Today at OPA, Molly was reading the blog and Joel came up behind her...
"what is that?" "Friends of the Fremont?" "what is this?"
Molly quickly closed the windo and we told him it was merely a forum for idea exchange.
He shrugged it off but still seemed interested.
This goes back to Chris' question of, "should we involve the mucky-mucks"
I still say no for now. I know that Rich checks the blog every now and then, but for the most part we are fairly insular.

If this is the case, then there is some deletion of entries that needs to happen. Nuff said.
yeah, but he doesn't know the address. I guess he could do a web search..
no results for google, no results for Yahoo, but we are the second hit for MSN search.
I'm so sorry :(
I've been thinking about it, and I don't know if I am sorry. I kind of think I'm not. Although we aren't 100% about pure research, I think this "web-community" is producing good research. I wish there were more things like this to participate in.
Eventually, mucky-muck-types might decide that we are right and will want in...
I don't think we need to worry too much. We make jokes, talk research, and maintain contact with one another.
I see this blog as one more opportunity for networking. There are the various conferences, but this is a much more casual environment.
Those of you who went to the SLC SAA meeting noticed Joel, Dave Madsen, and all of the other GB boys hanging out in a corner talking about things. I consider FOF as our corner to discuss things.
I'm on the side of the 'no worries' folks. It's good to keep in mind, in relation to some of our joking or occasional ranting that this is a public forum, but it's fine and I'm certainly not going to get missish if Joel or Jim shows up occasionally. It could actually be an interesting, if preferably occasional, insight.
